First shown at Posidonia 2010, we are pleased to inform you that we are soon introducing a new 10.4-inch messaging unit, model number NDZ-227.
This new model messaging unit features a color LCD with a horizontally-vertically wide view angle and higher brightness. Additionally, service and maintenance are optimized with with USB port instead and is ready for our Remote Maintenance System.
This new model is designed for MF/HF radiotelephone and Inmarsat C, and fully complies with all relevant (IMO) requirements and regulations.
Replacing your existing messaging unit
The NDZ-227 is fully compatible for plug-and-play retrofit of NDZ-127 series, used in MF/HF models JSB-196GM, JSS-296/596/896 and Inmarsat C (except FDD) model JUE-85. The NDZ-227 has the same cut-out dimensions for flush mount purposes. Desktop mounting brackets are optionally available.
Because the new messaging unit is part of GMDSS/Solas, JRC strongly recommends installing should be done through our official (and JRC certified) partners.
Display
Our new messaging unit features a color display with a variety of coloring menus. Factory default color is Ocean Day (right). The viewing angle has significantly been improved, given you a bright picture with excellent color consistency.
USB
This USB 2.0 ports allows you to connect a USB mass storage device to save and load messages.
